Malawi – short description:
Not only is Malawi an extremely populated country, it is also one of the least developed countries in the world. Most of the people live in rural areas and the economy of the country is dependent on agriculture. In order to develop the economy, the Government is depending on outside aid. However, the aid offered has declined ever since the year 2000.
The inhabitants of the country are diverse and they include Natives, Europeans as well as Asians. As it has people from different cultures, the language spoken in Malawi is also wide-ranging. Many people in Malawi are infected with AIDS/HIV. Primary education is not obligatory in the country but the Constitution requires the children to be educated for at least five years.
The people from Malawi are called Malawians.
